How to Download YouTube Videos: Easiest Way

Submitted by on Wednesday, 3 August 201127 Comments

Download YouTube VideosYouTube is undoubtedly the most preferred website to share and watch favorite videos. Most users prefer to watch the videos online, while a few others like me, would like to download them so that they can be saved and retained. Well, if you are one among those few who would like to download the videos from YouTube, then here is a way to do that.

In fact, there are many ways to download videos from YouTube, but here in this post, I would like to share with you one of the easiest way to do that. This can be done as follows:

  1. Download and install the latest version of Internet Download Manager.

Internet Download Manager is a great add-on for your web browser which increases the download speed by 5 times. It also helps you to pause/resume and schedule your downloads. It has got a great interface and is user friendly. It works with most of the browsers including IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera.

  2. After you complete the installation, just open your browser and start searching for your favorite video on YouTube. You will see the download button on top of the video using which you can download it instantly.

  3. Download YouTube Videos

  4. Click on the “Download this Video” button to save the video onto your computer. The downloaded video will be in the flash video format (.flv).

  5. You can use VLC Player to play the downloaded video or use SUPER to convert it to your desired format.

By using this trick, you can download almost all the buffering content on the Internet including videos from MySpace and Google. I hope you like this small post. Don’t forget to pass your comments. Enjoy :)

I’m using this trick from last year but problem is that IDM is valid for 30 days for free after that you have to purchase or place patch in idm installation folder.

You can use VLC player to convert to any format as well, quite easily. In Media choose Convert/Save add the file, click Convert/Save, here you will choose where to save it and what file format to save it as. The trick is you will need to give the new file the extension manually. Such as .mp3, .mp4, etc… and then click Start.

Coincidentally, I have used RealPlayer Gold to download and edit youtube vidoes.. it is completely free and works in any browser.. Personally I never use the player itself though, and the download range from a few seconds to a few minutes depending on the file size.

Nice Post Really working but can you provide me the full version of idm

  • naps said:

I have been using it since past 2 years..
What happens is when youtube runs a vdeo, its generates URLs.
It doesnt remain static, so when you download a video, and if you pause it with IDM for mor ethan half an hour, then you will find that the download cannot be resumed. Now how does keepvideo work?
I have ben using the savevid.com site to get the static URL and i click on “add url” on IDM and download it because of its high speed.
Note that these sites also launch java applets these are for redirecting the static url to a specific URL that is *UPDATED* every now and then, so please can anyone tell me technically how the applets work ??
