Top Reasons why you shouldn’t buy an iphone

The much hyped iPhone 3G was launched in India a few weeks back and we have seen many issues and open security flaws in the new iPhone. Here I have some of the top reasons for which you shouldn’t buy an iphone.

- The worst thing is that you cannot forward a SMS message!! Don’t think that I am foolish, but really your iPhone 3G can’t forward a simple SMS. You’ll have to retype the SMS and forward it.
- There is NO copy / paste functionality. So you need to remember the texts and type again as you go.
- Bluetooth functionality is only limited to headset use. You can’t do any file transfer over Bluetooth. So if you are planning to share your songs or photos with your friends then forget about it!
- Absolutely no camera settings - it’s just like some ancient digital camera which does only point and shoot functionality. No Flash, No Zoom functionality.
- Photos taken in a VGA camera is better than that of iphone!
- The iPhone 3G is simply overpriced in India (Costs almost twice the price as in US)
- It’s in built Safari web browser does not support Flash as well as Java.
- There is No office document editor. Most Nokia’s come with inbuilt editor’s for Word / Excel.
- The iPhone doesn’t has AD2P on the Bluetooth - which means you can’t get stereo sound via Blue Tooth headphones, that’s a big disappointment for the music fans.
- The iPhone doesn’t has a Removable battery. Yes - you cannot change the battery yourself. Apple expects you to send the phone to an Apple Outlet to replace the battery. Now if you travel too much - what are you gonna do? Look for an Apple Store to interchange the travel battery?
- iPhone doesn’t has an option to send MMS. Forget about MMS.
- Though you can’t sent MMS - You can’t receive MMS messages too!
- You can’t set your personal songs as ring tones!
- The iPhone’s screen is not Finger Print Resistant. Since the iPhone is a touch screen phone so it is bound to get your finger print’s each time you touch so it gets dirty very easily.
- THE BIGGEST ONE - ONCE YOU ARE ON 3G NETWORK(Which I suppose will happen in a year in India), YOU CANNOT MAKE CALLS TO A PHONE ON 2G NETWORK. SO IF YOU WANT TO CALL A PERSON WHO IS NOT HAVING A 3G PHONE. SORRY, YOU’LL HAVE TO FIND A PCO and a 1 RUPEE!!!
These are some of the top reasons that shows iphone’s incapability. But there are many more such reasons for you to stop buying an iphone. If you still want to buy the iphone then definitely you must be crazy?!

out can call any one on any network do u even have a 3g to know
dude u can set any song as a ringtone in iphone 3g…!!
d pics taken by iphone 3g r really very clear…!!! if u want i can mail u …!! d camera is of 2 mp bt its far better den any 3 mp camera phone…!!
Now I am not a very big fan of the iPhone, but I think the author of this article has completely lost it.
Some of points mentioned are valid, most of them are hardly important, and a few are incorrect.
The camera is indeed pretty average, but you can set custom ringtones and you being connected to the 3G network does not prevent you from calling from 2G network phones.
Still its not the best 3G phone, and the recently released Samsung Omnia (which I currently own) and the soon to be released Blackberry Storm, overcome most of the crucial and smaller issues of the iPhone. The Omnia is brilliant even though it uses Windows Mobile. Samsung should really look at Android in the future.
I am not sure about the iphone but the g1phone rocks!!
Of COurse u can set your own ringtones…
Camero is good too…
ANd there is a Copy-PAst Option..
only know how to use
yes dudue u r right…..but it is limited only in 3G model..but now all functions which were not in previous model are now being available in 3GS model…….remember 3GS i phone….for more info contact me.
I’m against iPhone because it is proprietary and promotes the creation of platform-dependent apps- what works on one phone doesn’t work on another. Since there is no support for java too(java is cross-platform), so clearly, iPhone is shitty.
you’re against iphone because you can’t afford one!
I personally would prefer the HTC Desire, running with Android. It is more flexible than the IPhone and an open system. Additional it has the same features like the IPhone, so it’s a better choice
I’m a big iPhone fan- so I may be biased but you really need to update this. The 3gs fixed many of these problems, right now 7 of these are false, and one (the bluetooth file transfer one) is false if you are jailbroken (as all should be) and about 3 are expected to be fixed tomorrow if he announces iPhone 4 at WWDC keynote 2010, the only 3 that are true and will probably always be true are the Flash (I’m not gunna get into that), the removal battery, and the finger resistance (which is easily fixed by a screen protector, and may have been done on purpose to promote the purchase of a screen protector) I know this is an old document, but perhaps you should update it with new information
This is not true i own a iPhone 3G But I Can Copy/Paste Messages. We Can Share Photos, Videos, Apps iPhone to iPhone. We Can Download a Camera With Flash Effect, Zoom and capture videos. No, iPhone 3G Had a 1.2 Megapixel Camera and If You Compare It To A Without Flash VGA Camera Then the iPhone is 1000 Times Better. The Price Of iPhone is Twice Because in USA the phone Comes With an AT&T Sim and we have to pay 50$ Every Month With AT&T Twice Price is Better Than Every Month 50$. We Can Download an Document Reader From App Store!. For The Battery we Can Buy A Battery Charging Battery or Solar Power Charger For iPhone 3G. We Can Send MMS by Installing MMS App From App Store. and It Can Clean Easily. We Can Call to 2G or 1G or 4G or 5G Networks. You Are Crazy, If You Don’t Know anything about iPhone So Why You Are Writing On and On??????????????????????????????????????????.
Uhmmm actually u can forward messages….you hold your finger on the little message then an option will come up saying copy SO you press that with your finger:) THEN you create a new message to the person you want to forward it to HOLD your finger in the little type space and then a box will come up saying paste then you press the little box and WALLAH you have successfully forwarded a message (: amazing a professional like you couldn’t figure that one out hahahah
