How to Copy Locked Photos from Orkut

Recently Orkut updated it’s security feature and disabled Right-click on photos of friend’s album. So this makes it difficult to copy photos from Orkut. It’s a new security update made by Orkut to prevent people from copying photos from Orkut and misusing it. This may be annoying most of you! Then…

How To Copy Locked Photos From Orkut?

Yes it’s still possible to copy the photos from Orkut. Here’s a step-by-step procedure to copy the photo.

1. Login into your Orkut Account.

2. Goto your friend’s album and open the photo that you need to copy.

3. Once the photo is loaded to it’s full size just place the mouse cursor on the photo.

4. Press the left click button and drag and drop the photo onto the ADDRESS BAR. I think this trick is no longer working. So I have a new trick….

Just DRAG and DROP the PHOTO onto the current/new TAB (If you have IE 7). Alternatively you can also Drag and Drop the photo onto the Desktop. That’s it. This trick is working now!!

4. Now the photo gets displayed seperately on your browser.

5. You can Right-Click and select the Save As option to save the photo onto your PC.

The browser also displays the direct link to the photo. This link can be used to share the Orkut photos with your friends without the need to login to your Orkut account to access photos.

    Now I have come up with a new trick to copy the photo.Just drag and drop the photo onto the new tab (in IE 7) instead of address bar.This trick works as usual…

    For copying the profile images,you can hit the Pint Screen key on your keyboard.Next paste the image in paint and crop the required area.

    One perfectly working solution can be:

    Use adblock plus extension in the mozilla firefox and then open the page with the image and then just click on blockable items list on adblock plus and bingo, there will b a list of all the images that are there in the page(may it be the profile image or the album image or from whatever site you want to copy) just hover the mouse over the file names with jpg or gif extension and it will give you a preview, on the correct image just right click and select the open in a new tab option

    then i used fn+prnt screen last but always working trick

    jst select the whole photo n use the conventional key board method to copy that is( Ctrl+C ) n open MS Word n type( Ctrl+V ).. with jst 3 sec it will copy the image n from there u can copy n convert as u like… EASY…!!!!!!!

    I dont knw Y ppl are making it so geeky to do this in here… to copy a locked [woooh sigh ] photo from a locked album [omg is MI: IV], you have to be an ultra geek and smart and learned and the most important, bearer of some common sense.Here is the step by step guide:

    1)Restore(De-maximise) ur window to a size that ur desktop or some part of the folders open behind are visible. [may be you need to borrow special Q-glasses from Mr.Bond to see this ;) ]

    2) Drag and drop the image to your desktop. [Mission Accomplished]..

    OK now jokes apart, the BUG is here.BUT U DONT NEED TO READ FURTHUR IF IT WORKS FOR YOU.
    In some cases it is seen that the image apears to of some unrecognizable format,this is just because of the 128 bit naming convention of windows( orkut also uses the same ENCRYPTION level (128 bit SSL) so U just have to rename the long filename to something short like image.jpg or myphoto.jgp or anything ur heart beckons you to do.
